OCS Foundation seeks to tackle some of the causes and effects of poverty in the UK, by developing the capacity and skills of socially and economically disadvantaged members of communities.
Working in partnership with Well North Enterprises and the Bromley by Bow Centre, OCS Foundation is supporting a UK-wide People into Work programme, aimed at bringing meaningful employment opportunities to local people with anticipated outcomes of improved health and well-being and economic gain.
The programme engages with people furthest removed from the workplace, who may be entering the workplace for the first time, returning to work after illness, or who do not have the necessary written, reading or language skills to find suitable employment.
Research conducted will build on previous insight gathered, and focus on practical, good practice examples of employability.
