On 4 July 2019, St Paul’s Way Trust Science Summer School, hosted by Professor Brian Cox, involved 400 young people and experts from across the sciences in The People’s Moon workshops as part of the Apollo 50 celebrations worldwide.
The aim was to inspire young people to become the next generation of Britain’s scientists, a key theme for Well North Enterprises. The opportunities for exciting and innovative careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) are almost limitless.
The Science Summer School team presented an inspirational programme which mixed the best of STEAM subjects with a focus on Engineering, through a series of seminars, discussions and hands-on experiments.
The pupils of the Science Summer School made their very own ‘Apollo 50th’ photo mosaic using historic photos and selfies captured on the day. This was exhibited on a giant touchscreen.
